A breathtakingly beautiful Nordic program coming up for my second visit in northern Norway.

We start the concert with Ida Moberg's bright "Sunrise" and hear a world premiere piece "Ljøske" by Jon Øivind Ness. Violinist Eldbjørg Hemsing is joining to perform Hillborg's 2nd violin concerto, which is a journey of magnificent soundscapes. 

The concert ends in Sibelius' beautiful 6th Symphony. I don't usually like choosing a favorite symphony by Sibelius, because they are all so different and marvelous in their own way. But if I had to choose, the 6th would definitely be my top choice.
